Asthma and Primary Arterial Hypertension: an Inflammatory Link?

Inclusion Criteria: * Age ≥18 and ≤85 years; * Diagnosis of moderate/severe asthma according to current Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) guidelines * Diagnosis of moderate/severe asthma according to current GINA guidelines and primary arterial hypertension according to current European Society of Cardiology/European Society of Hypertension (ESC/ESH) guidelines * Patients able to collaborate in the required procedures; * Signed informed consent. Exclusion Criteria: * History of asthma exacerbation requiring changing of pharmacological treatment in the previous month. * Active smoking status or ex-smoker with Pack/Year major than 10; * BMI major than 30 Kg/m2; * Pregnancy; * Diagnosis of concomitant Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD); Obstructive Sleep Apnoea Syndrome (OSA); Clinically significant bronchiectasis; Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA); Atopic dermatitis; * Diagnosis of concomitant Autoimmune Diseases; History of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), or (Hepatitis C Virus)HCV ; * Active significant infection * Malignancy, current or within the past 5 years. Suspected malignancy or undefined neoplasms; * Cognitive impairment; * History of clinically significant chronic heart diseases;
